It All Starts With O-Week

O-week is an orientation program that aims to include all residents by holding get-to-know-you events, guided tours around the University, Sandy Bay, and Greater Hobart, as well as trips to Tasmanian landmarks such as Mt. Wellington and Port Arthur and a couple other fun surprises.

Activities 

The College organises numerous events each year, such as:

  • Clean Up Australia Day

  • An annual Ball

  • A Relay for Life team

  • The World's Greatest Shave

  • Scavenger Hunts

  • National Tree Planting Day

  • 40 Hour Famine

  • Wellness Week

  • Inter-College Cocktails

  • ANZAC Day Dawn Service

  • An annual play

As well as many more parties and functions througout the year.

Christ College competes in sports all throughout the academic year against Jane Franklin Hall, John Fisher College and other residences, with the major sports being:

  • Rugby

  • Australian Football

  • Soccer

  • Cricket

  • Volleyball

  • Netball

  • Table Tennis

  • Badminton

  • Debating

  • Softball

Get Involved

Christ College is an almost entirely student-run college, and we're always looking for new people to get involved! We have numerous committees you can join, or we'd love for you to consider joining our team!

Elections are held for the Student Club annually at the AGM.
